What is the Music Like?

This is a time when our focus is to experience the presence of God through music and song, returning thanks to Him for all He has done for us. We get excited about singing to our creator. Our excitement and passion are reflected in both the style and volume of our music. There are times of intimate reflection while others may be very celebratory.

What are the Messages Like?

We clearly communicate the Word of God in a powerful and practical way that you can apply to your life instantly. Messages never lack purpose, clarity, or passion. Through all of our ministries, our heart is to powerfully communicate the Word of God in a way that is both practical and relevant to our daily lives, no matter what area of our journey we may all be. What We Believe

We affirm the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for our beliefs and practices. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.

SCRIPTURES– The Hebrew and Christian scriptures are inspired by God, perfectly true, inerrant in the original manuscripts and form the basis for doctrine and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 19:7-8; Proverbs 30:5; John 1:1

GOD– God is the supreme creator and ruler of the universe. He is perfectly good. He is triune and reveals himself in three persons.

I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11

THE FATHER– God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things. He is eternal.

John 6:28; Romans 1:7

God is Supreme – Deut. 10:17; Isaiah 43:11; Isaiah 45:5
God as Creator – Genesis 1:1; John 1:1
God as Sustainer – Acts 17:24-25
God is Eternal – Psalm 90:2; Habakkuk 1:12a; Isaiah 40:28; Deut.33:27

THE SON– Jesus Christ is God, and God made man, the word made man, and co-creator of all things. He is eternal. He was born of a virgin. He is a perfect man who led a sinless life. Because he died a sacrificial death for the sins of man, He is the redeemer of fallen man. He did not remain dead, but rose again.

He paid for our sins – John 3:16; 1 John 2:2
He was resurrected – 1 Corinthians 15:20
He was sinless – 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:22
He is eternal – John 8:58; Hebrews 13:8

THE HOLY SPIRIT– The Holy Spirit is God. He empowers God’s people for works of service, regenerates them, and conforms them to the image of Christ. He is eternal. He is a comforter and teacher.

John 1:12; John 14:17, 23; John 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20

MAN– Man is the creation of God. God made man in His image to have relationship with Him. However, man sinned and that relationship was broken. Man now stands in need of salvation which is provided by God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus
Christ. Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21

SIN– Sin is rebellion against God, his rules, and his ways. It is falling short of God’s mark for any man, woman, or child. The only human that has ever existed without sin is Jesus Christ. The consequence of sin is separation from God, and spiritual death in Hell.

SALVATION– Salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and results in the new life and relationship with God. It means recognizing Jesus Christ the lord of all of your life. Salvation provides for eternal life in Heaven with God and the saints. Those who reject salvation are doomed to an eternity in Hell without God, the giver and sustainer of all good things.

I Thess. 4:3, 5:23; II Cor. 3:18, 6:14-18, II Thess. 2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11

THE CHURCH– The church is the community of people who have been called by God and submitted to His lordship, who make up the family of God throughout all of history. It is independent of any denomination. Its goal is to glorify God by being the hands and feet of Christ to a lost and fallen world. It is led and shepherded by elders, equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry.

Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23

CHRISTIAN LIFE– The Christian life is to be different from the life of the world. It should be evidenced by an ever increasing sanctification and holiness, and a willingness to glorify God by dying to selfish desires. The Christian life will be met with trials and tribulations for which a Christian’s willingness to submit to the sovereignty of God in the midst of those trials and tribulations will result in the glorification of God and genuine faith being revealed.

ORDINANCES– Jesus Christ called for his church to practice two corporate observances – baptism and The Lord’s Supper, or “communion.” Baptism is a symbolic act characterized by full immersion in water and done in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a symbolic act identifying the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a corporate event of fellowship in which the church breaks bread and drinks from the cup and by so doing remembers the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for mankind.

Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48 Matthew 26:26-29;
I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25

END TIMES– Jesus Christ will return in bodily form, there will be a resurrection of the Saints, and there will be a final judgment of all mankind.

FAMILY– The biblical family is the basic God ordained unit for the procreation of humanity and the transmission of cultural and spiritual values. It is sacred and consists of one man and one woman joined in committed marriage. The husband lovingly leads the family, and the wife willingly submits to and supports the husband’s leadership.

Matthew 19:4-6

TELLING & GOING– Good news should not be kept silent. Great news should be shared. As followers of Jesus, we have good and great news to share with others!

We are authorized to go and tell…
We are commanded to go and tell…
We are not alone when we go and tell…
Telling and Going = being a witness of what you have seen, heard, and experienced as a follower of Jesus!

GIVING– Giving of both tithes and offerings to the work of God in His church. Tithing is 10% of a person’s income. Offerings are anything above and beyond the tithe.

It is an expression of obedience to God and trust in God.
It is to support the local church.
It is accompanied by a promise of both testing & blessing.

SERVING– Using the abilities that God provides in your life to help your church and others.
